The border between France and Italy is the line that limits the territories of France and Italy. It crosses mountainous areas of the Alps.
The franca-italy border extends over 488 km, to the southeast of France and northwest of Italy.

Alpes is the highest and most extensive mountain range that lies entirely in Europe, extending through Austria and Slovenia, Hungary to the east, through northern Italy, Switzerland (Swiss Alps), Liechtenstein and southern Germany, to the southeast of France and Monaco.
Alpes is Mount White, with 4810,45 m of altitude located on or near the Franco-Italian border, since the border delimitation in the massif has never been consensual.
The altitude and the size of the range affect the climate in Europe; in the mountains, precipitation levels vary widely and climatic conditions consist of distinct zones.
There is a special organization for the protection of the Alps called the Alpine Convention
